ABOUT
THE RACE

The idea for the Faith & Freedom Run was born in 2024 by Heather & Mike Klepfer after attending the SWITCH Freedom Gala in Greenville SC.  During that event, God laid this idea on their hearts and compelled them to act.  This 1st annual event is the result of amazing teamwork and collaboration between SWITCH, Set-Up Events and many others.  100% of the proceeds and sponsorship money raised goes directly to SWITCH here in Greenville SC.  The goal is to make this an annual event that gets larger and larger so that we can provide enough resources to END sex trafficking in the Upstate of South Carolina.

Please support this important cause.

MISSION & HISTORY.

The Faith & Freedom Run is an annual nighttime running event held in Greenville, South Carolina. Participants can choose between certified 5K and 10K routes, both of which take place along the scenic Green Line section of the Prisma Health Swamp Rabbit Trail. The race begins and ends at Holland Park on Laurens Road, creating a vibrant atmosphere filled with community spirit and camaraderie. Designed for runners and walkers of all ages and abilities, the event encourages people to come together in support of a meaningful cause.

The mission of the Faith & Freedom Run goes beyond promoting physical health and wellness. It serves as a powerful platform to raise awareness and funds for SWITCH, a nonprofit organization committed to ending sex trafficking and sexual exploitation in the Upstate region of South Carolina. Founded in 2012, SWITCH provides crucial services including advocacy, education, and support for survivors. The race offers an opportunity for participants to stand in solidarity with those affected by trafficking and to help bring about real change in their local community.

Through a combination of fitness, purpose, and activism, the Faith & Freedom Run has grown into a cherished annual event. It symbolizes a community’s united stance against injustice while promoting values of freedom, dignity, and hope. Participants don’t just run for personal achievement—they run to make a difference.
